-
Detect and enhance the availability of
"Spinal Gateways™" for self assessment and self organization.
-
Detect the presence of indications of adverse mechanical spinal cord tension and
associated altered states of Spinal and Neural Integrity.
-
Admininster safe, effective, low force applications to affect the nervous system's capacity to enhance precognitive and cognitive self-awareness. The process is also believed to promote self-regulation of adverse mechanical spinal cord tension through the natural oscillatory patterns of associated tissues.

Evaluate the efficacy of the above by relating the application of NSA to practice member self-ratings regarding their wellness and quality of life and to conduct research investigating the hypotheses advanced relative to the objectives of NSA.
V. THE EPSTEIN MODEL OF SPINAL AND NEURAL INTEGRITY
The
Spinal Gateway™
In the evolution of NSA, which is based on evidence accumulating through research (See attachment "The Evolving Concept of
Network Spinal Analysis™ Research"), the Epstein Model of Spinal and Neural Integrity was developed to superceed the Epstein Model of Vertebral Subluxation. While the tenets of the subluxation model form a segment of the neural integrity model, the latter now includes the concept of the
Spinal Gateway™. This concept is proposed to have the following characteristics and properties:
-
An access point for self-assessment of the nervous system regarding awarness of spatial and temporal identity and adaptive strategies.
-
A focal area of free or "unbound" energy located on or adjacent to spinal segments being physically attached directly or indirectly to the dura mater.
-
Possesses sensitivity to natural biological energy fields and "non-local" intelligence. The
Spinal Gateway™ is viewed as an inter-phase between the dimensions of energy, consciousness, and physical tissue.
-
Serves as a nexus for interaction between the Passive, Active, Neural Control and Emotional Subsystems contributing to Spinal and Neural Integrity.
-
Application of a light force or touch to the
Spinal Gateway™ assists the nervous system to move from a state of predominantly defense physiology and posture to a state of adaptive self-assessment and organization. This is proposed to be a result of sensory and motor responses brought about by alteration(s) in tension and energy states within the neural, osseous, and connective tissue matrices of the body.
